Q
Mandibular CI (reading)
A
- smallest tooth in dental arch
- crown more than half the mesiodistal diameter o maxCI
- greatest masticatory stress are brought to bear of mandibular incisors in a labiolingual direction
- root is very narrow mesiodistally, wide labiolingual
- length> max CI - distal root has a deeper depression
4
Q
Mandibular CI (lecture)
A
- root flat mesio-distally w/ a mesial/distal concavity
- incisal edge is lingual to long axis of tooth
- narrowest crown
- most symmetrical
- first succedaneous tooth
- erupts w/2 pulp horns, 3 mammelons, and lingual anatomy
- crown is fan-shaped
- smallest facial embrasure in mouth
- smooth lingual surface
- contactat incisal 1/3
- mesial/distal CA @same level
5
Q
Mandibular LI (read)
A
- 2nd mand tooth fr median
- resembles mand CI so closely
- operate as a team, functional form is related
- common it has 2 canals in 1 root
- LI > CI in measurments
- mesial is longer than distal, becoz incisal ridge slopes downward in distal direction
- root is longer than CI
6
Q
Mandibular LI (lecture)
A
- not symmetrical
- incisal edge appears twisted on its apex, curving lingually
- incisal ridge is not @ a right angle to mesial/distal sides
- oval in cross-section
