Q

Why do some traits have a huge range of variations?

A

Because they could be polygenetic traits, meaning the are controlled by many different genes resulting in may combinations.

Q

Why do sex linked traits show up in men more frequently than women??

A

Q

Why are can men not be carries but women can of sex linked traits?

A

Men only have 1 X chromosome so any allele they get, even if it is recessive is expressed. Women have 2 X chromosomes so their repressive allele could be covered up by a dominate one, yet still passed on to an offspring.

Q

Where do boy get most of their traits on the y chromosome?

A

No, just like women the majority of traits are coded for on the 22 pair of autosomal chromosomes. The y is the smallest chromosome and hold the fewest traits/genes
