Q

Define Unicellular Organism

A

An organism with a singular cell

17
Q

Define Multicelluar Organism

A

An organism with multiple cells

18
Q

Define Ocular lens (eyepiece)

A

This is the lens you look through to view the specimen. The ocular lens magnifies the specimen.

19
Q

Define Objective lenses

A

These lenses magnify the specimen. There are usually three objective lenses: a low-power objective lens, a medium-power objective lens, and a high-power objective lens.

20
Q

Define Coarse-Adjustement knob

A

This knob is used to focus the image of the specimen. The coarse-adjustment knob should only be used with the low-power objective lens in place.

21
Q

Define Fine-adjustment knob

A

This knob is used to bring the image of the specimen into a sharp focus after the coarse-adjustment knob has been used.

22
Q

Define Specimen

A

Plant or Animal Cell seen through a Microscope
