What does amotivation describe?
When someone is not motivated to engage
Example: Feeling no desire to participate in an activity
What is extrinsic motivation?
Motivation driven by reward or recognition
Example: Working hard to receive a bonus at work
What is intrinsic motivation?
Motivation driven by personal satisfaction
Example: Feeling a sense of accomplishment when completing a challenging task
What are the stages of change in BCT (Behavioral Change Techniques)?
Pre-contemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, Maintenance, Termination
Example: Moving from not planning to exercise to exercising regularly for over 6 months
What do the initials SMART stand for in goal setting?
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely
Example: Setting a goal to run 5 miles by the end of the month
