Greek and Latin. Greeks were the first to systematically study the field of medicine (including anatomy) and to develop a suitable vocabulary. Latin then continued as the language of science, the law, and the Church throughout Western Europe until the eighteenth century.
When dissecting a medical term, what is the first step you would take?
Begin at the end of the word with the suffix and then follow your way back to the beginning of the word.
