How do you make sugar paste?
2 c sugar, 1/4 c lemon juice, 1/4 c water, combine and cook slowly over low heat. Do not heat over 250 degrees.
What is used to clean the client’s skin after sugaring?
Warm washcloth or a wet cotton round
Why is it better to use a soft wax rather than hard wax when doing a service on a large body part?
Because you can cover a larger area
What are some determining factors to shaping brows?
- Appearance/image = defined or sporty
- Hair length

Where should the thickest part of the brow be and the thinnest part?
Medial side is thickest and lateral side/tail is the thinnest
In waxing a lower arm, how would you blend the hair about the elbow?
Remove the hairs with the wax that is already on the strip. The strip will remove the more obvious hairs, leaving shorter hairs behind. This is called blending or feathering.
Where do you wax the hair in standard bikini wax?
Remove hair that is visible at the top of the thigh and just under the navel where the client wears a regular bikini bottom. Strip or hard wax.
