Q

What are the key characteristics of collaboration?

A

there are two terms to distinguish between, cooperation and collaboration.

cooperation is a group of people working together, all doing the same type of work, to accomplish a job. (a group of four painters, each painting a different wall in the same room, are working cooperatively.

Collaboration is a group of people working together to achieve a common goal via a process of feedback and iteration.

using iteration and feedback, the group’s result can be better than what any single individual can produce alone. This is possible because different group members provide different perspectives.
