a team of people and entities working together to successfully execute an experience for stakeholders
What is the role of the event manager?
planning, organizing, and promoting an event from start to finish
Who are stakeholders in an event and how do they affect each other?
- stakeholders are people who are interested impaction or influencing an event
- they affect each other because stakeholders could cause a larger audience and financial benefit
What are the various departments for event management?
accounting, police, concessions, operations, ticketing, housekeeping, broadcast, etc.
What skills are most important for event management?
- interpersonal communication

managing a crowd in a controlled way

no, very intelligent people can act bad in a crowd

What is considered under the time factor?
time management and prioritization; and research and knowledge of your event
What is considered under the space factor?
concourse width, indecision points (no points where you have to think about where you should go) , high density crowd (6 or more people per square meter)
What is a progressive crowd collapse?
when people fall and others trample over them or fall on top of them
What is considered under the information/communication/leadership factor?
staff training, announcements, and credible directions
