An anxiety disorder in which a person is continually tense, fearful, and in a state of nervous arousal
Generalized anxiety
An anxiety disorder marked by unpredictable episodes of intense dread in which a person may experience terror and chest pain; often followed by worry
Panic disorder
An anxiety disorder marked by a persistent, irrational fear and avoidance of a specific object, activity or situation
Phobia
A disorder characterized by unwanted repetitive thoughts, actions or both
OCD
A disorder character by haunting memories, nightmares, anxiety, numbness of feeling, insomnia lingering for more than 4 weeks after a traumatic experience
PTSD
A disorder in which a person experiences 2 or more weeks with five or more symptoms with at least one depressed or loss of interest in pleasures
Major depression disorder
A disorder in which a person operates between hopelessness and weariness of depression and overexcited state of mania
Bipolar disorder
A hyperactive, wildly optimistic state in which dangerously poor judgement is common
Mania
A disorder characterized by delusions, disorganized speech, inappropriate emotional expression
Schizophrenia
False beliefs despite contradictory evidence
