What are some of the advantages of CT vs MRI and vice versa?

A

CT scan machines are less noisy, and the images can be obtained very quickly. There is no prohibition on implanted medical devices.

MRI is higher resolution, provides much more detail about soft tissues, and do not include significant exposure to ionizing radiation.
