O: Flat sheet of muscle lying in the superficial fascia over the front of the neck from the lower border of the mandible
I: Crosses the clavicle and joins pectoralis

O: Anterior tubercle of transverse process C3-C6
I: Anterior tubercle of atlas

Bilateral: flexion of the cervical spine
Unilateral: ipsilateral inclination and flexion of the cervical spine

O: Anterior sides of vertebral bodies T1-T3
I: Anterior tubercle of vertebral bodies C4-C6

Bilateral: flexion of the cervical spine
Unilateral: ipsilateral inclination and flexion of the cervical spine

Longus colli - inferior oblique part
O: Anterior sides of vertebral bodies T1-T3
I: Anterior tubercle of transverse process C5-C6

A: Raises upper ribs
Bilateral: flexion of cervical spine
Unilateral: ipsilateral latero flexion

Sternal head : anterior surface of manubrium
Clavicular head : medial third of the clavicle

Mastoid process and the lateral part of the superior nuchal line
