Cerebral Cortex
Divided into hemispheres, involved in emotional response and planning
Left Hemisphere
The left hemisphere is more involved in making plans without an emotional response
Indifference Reaction
The left side of the brain is more involved in a person with damage to the right hemisphere of the brain
Catastrophic Reaction
A person experiences severe emotional response such as anxiety or depression causing the right hemisphere to be more involved when the left motor area is affected.
Right Frontal Lobe
Involved with producing facial expressions and tone of voice for the emotion. Also related to negative thoughts.
Right Parietal and Temporal Lobes
Involved with other people’s emotional reactions.
Left Frontal Lobe
Active when given good news or asked to think positive thoughts.
