A
Anoxic
Anemic
Stagnant
Histoxic
2
Q
What are the four causes of anoxic hypoxia?
A
Reduced oxygen in environment
Respiratory obstruction
Reduced pulmonary function
Inadequate respiratory movement
3
Q
What causes anemic hypoxia?
A
Decrease in hemoglobin or decrease in number of erythrocytes in the bloodstream
4
Q
What causes stagnant hypoxia?
A
Insufficient peripheral circulation such as CHF, shock, arterial spasm, thrombosis.
5
Q
What causes histoxic hypoxia?
A
Inability of tissues to use oxygen, even if oxygen is available in the bloodstream
