Cell Parts And Function Flashcards
What is ER?
Endoplasmic Reticulum
What’s Endoplasmic Reticulum ?
ER is apparently a system of interlacing canals in the cytoplasm which is continuous with the contents of nucleus. It functions as a storage and transport system.
What are enzymes?
Chemicals that are responsible for controlling chemical reactions inside the cell.
Where ATP is made?
In mitochondrion
What does ATP stand for?
Adenosine triphosphate
Whats ATP?
adenosine triphosphate or ATP is a high-energy chemical that supplies the only direct source of energy to run cellular machinery.
What’s lysosome?
Membrane-bound structures filled with enzymes
What’s the plasma membrane?
Plasma membrane or cell membrane forms the outer boundary of the cell. It also selectively transports nutrients and wastes into and out of the cell.
It also transfers nerve impulses to the cell.
