Q

Stages of ultracentrifugation

A
  1. Tissue is cut up and kept in cold isotonic buffered solution
  2. Cut up tissue further broken by a homogeniser
  3. Homogenised tissue is spun in a ultracentrifuge at a low speed for 10 mins
  4. Result of being spun in ultracentrifuge at low speed is that you get a supernatant and a sediment. you can spin it more times at faster speeds to get more sediments
