Cell Cycle Flashcards
What does PDGF do to the cell cycle
Allows the cell cycle to continue
Would attach to the receptor, send out a signal and would allow genes to be expressed and for there to be transcription and translation.
Rb would have the E2F Complex which would be released. Would have the E2F able to simulate cyclin and cod complex’s that would allow cell cycle to continue.
If Rb phosphorylated would then cause the cell cycle arrest
What would the damaged DNA do to the cell cycle
Damage would allow the phosphorylation of P53, allowing it to be in its fully active form.
Would have the phosphorylated P53 would attach to P21
Transcription and translation would make a protein
Cause cell cycle arrest as the protein binds to cdk and cyclin complexes
