80% of New Orleans flooded due to levee breaking (up to 8ft deep)

A

FLORIDA: National Hurricane Centre issued warnings, everyone evacuated, only 14 died.

NEW ORLEANS: Warnings issued, but 1/3 of residents did not have a car and there was widespread traffic.
Superdome used as evacuation centre, equipped with 3 days of supplies for 15k people, 3 times as many showed up and supplies only lasted a day.
