Safety
As the loading supervisor, you must pay particular attention to all safety aspects of the job. AC is no place for horseplay. No rings will be worn in the training area and gloves will be worn at all times to prevent injury
Applying Cargo Restraint
Cargo placed in an AC must be properly secured to prevent movement in flight. If the cargo is not properly secured, it will shift when the aircraft changes speed or direction rapidly.
Marshalling
Is the form of communication used to direct vehicles on the flight line. You must be aware of pedestrians in the area and not damage the AC. There will be NO personnel between the AC cargo ramp and the vehicle. 10ft away from the ramp when making Major adjustment. Pre position chocks.
Cargo Loading
Once you have determined the cargo is good, you can brief your loading crew and vehicle drivers. Area clear before backing up a vehicle. Speed limit of 3 mph in side the AC must be followed.
Marshalling Signals
Front Platform - up/down Rear Platform - up/down Reise and Lower Forks Spread and Close Forks Tilt Forward - Tilt Back Move Away - Come Forward Turn Left - Right Reverse - Left/Right Stop Slow Down Cut Engines
