DOD Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG)
Is to govern all DOD personnel and non-DOD personnel traveling under DOD sponsorship except for members and employees of Congress.
-AC commanders are ultimately responsible for ensuring the aircraft complies with FCG, duty usually delegated down to the SMA.
Status of Military Aircraft
US military aircraft are sovereign instrumentalities.
These include, exemption from duties and taxation; immunity from search, seizure, and inspetins; and any other exercise of jurisdiction by the host nation over the AC or the personnel, equipment or cargo on board it. DOD AC commanders must not authorize any such exercise of jurisdiction by foreign authorities except by direction of the appropriate service HQ or the American Embassy in the country concerned

Contained in the mission trip kit, is a non directive guide designed as a handy, quick reference document.
General Procedures (Section II)
Do not offload any cargo or passengers until cleared by customs
Permit to Proceed
AC not cleared at the 1st US port of entry can obtain a Permit to Proceed. This permit is to delay the customs inspection of the cargo only.The agriculture inspector clears the aircraft and cargo for pets.
AC Disinfection Spraying
When the country requires spraying, SMA will use only authorized insecticide aboard AMC AC. May be obtained from Fleet Service
General Restricted
Firearms Trade mark items (fakes) knifes Prescription drugs wildlife and wildlife parts and products Elephant ivory, parts, antiques over 100 years Bonsai plants and tatami mats
Prohibited Articles
Narcotics Destructive devices explosives counterfeits lottery tickets and ads of any lottery obscene and immoral articles Endangered Species of wild fauna and flora

all varieties of resh fruits and vegetables purchased at an overseas location are prohibited entry into the US
Your Exemptions
As a returning crew member you are authorized an $800 exemption every 30 days.
CBP Form 6059B
Customs Declaration (individuals/families) Each passenger or crewmember is required to complete this form. Families are traveling together, the head of household may fill out the form for the entire family.
CBP Form 7507
General Declaration (for the aircraft) Agriculture, Customs, Immigration and Public Health officials se this form to clear the AC upon arrival from a foreign port
