To collect waste from cells
How are arteries adapted to carry high pressure blood?
Thick, elastic walls
How are veins adapted to carry low pressure blood?
Wide lumen
Has valves
How are capillaries adapted to transfer nutrients and waste?
Only one cell wide
Walls only one cell thick
You have billions of them!
