CardioVascular 2 Flashcards
What can you compare veinules to and what are they?
Veinues are small caliber veins taht follow capillaries
as such they are similar to capillaries but larger
Characteristics of Veine de petit calibre?
Trois couches, mais LEI absente
Pas de LEE, mais fibres élastiques dans l’adventice*
Média plus mince qu’artère de même diamètre
Well defined adventice with Fibres élastiques longitudinales*
Characteristics of Veine cave?
Similar to medium sized veins but here we see a clear
Faisceaux de muscles lisses adventitielles en disposition longitudinale
Vasa vasorum difference between an artery and vein?
Vein -> because of the thicker adventice, the majority of the vein is fed by vasa vasorum branches and only part is fed by blood in the lumiere
One key difference between arteries and veins is the low pressure of blood in veins
As such, we need to compensate for the lack of oxygen diffused to feed the vessicles → more vasa vasorum
TRUE OR FALSE, veins are rich in elastic fibers
TRUE,
Their adventice is rich in elastic fibers
TRUE OR FALSE, veins have a low blood pressure and volume in contrast to arteries
FALSE,
low blood pressure
but high volume
Layers of the heart
Intima → Endocarde
Media → myocarde
Adventice → Epicarde
Vasa Vasorum → coronary arteries
What % of the myocardium if fed by the in cavity blood?
only 5%
Premières couches de
cardiomyocytes sousendocardiques nourries
par sang dans la cavité
What do we find in the Junction of the Superior Vena Cava and the Right atrium
SA Node:
Where do we find the AV Node?
It is located in the atrio-ventricular septum
SA node vs AV node in terms of location?
SA node = Localisation sous-ÉPIcardique
AV node (lower) = Localisation sous-ENDOcardique
In terms of cardiac valves, for which is this true: Surface ventriculaire plus fibreuse:
mitrale et tricuspidienne
In terms of cardiac valves, for which is this true: surface artérielle plus fibreuse
aortique et pulmonaire
What are the properties of lymphatic vessels (7)?
No lame basale
Unidirectional valves
No fibres elastic
No adventice
No pericyte
Very thin epithelial cells
Close relation to lymphatic ganglions
