Q

What is the atrial systolic phase?

A

Valves are forced open - atria contract and blood is forced into the ventricles

Q

What is the ventricular systole phase?

A

Blood is in the ventricles. Ventricles contract to increase pressure within the chambers forcing aortic and pulmonary semi-lunar valves to open flowing towards the Aorta or the Pulmonary Artery
