1
Q
Low Hb (Haemoglobin)
A
Anaemia
2
Q
CRP >200mg
A
Indicates severe infection
3
Q
Troponin
A
Released during MI after myocyte injury
Released 2–4 hours after
Peak: 12 hours
Normal within 7 days
Very high specificity
Will be normal in angina- so this is the differential between NSTEMI and angina. Differential between STEMI and NSTEMI is ST-elevation!

Released after MI
Peak: 10-24 hours
Normal within 2-3 days
High specificity
5
Q

A
High LDH-1 compared to LDH-2 suggests MI
Can also be: Cancer, meningitis, encephalitis and HIV
Peak: 72 hours
Normal within 10-14 days
High specificity
6
Q
Myoglobin
A
Rises in muscle tissue damage
Peak: 2 hours
Low specificity
