Why and how does the #2 Standby pump function automatically?

A

The #2 standby hyd pump functions automatically after sensing pressure loss in the #2 hyd system. The RSOV (an 18psi consumer) will shut the ARPS system off from the rest of the system so that the rudder is still powered.
