MCH to COAST

Emergency Brake pressure @ 210 kPa

Reverser to NEUTRAL

Marker lights to WHITE

Remove key

Take Portable radio

Lock doors and windows

What is the Changing Ends procedure?

Answer 2

MCH to COAST

Emergency Brake pressure @ 210 kPa

Trip Cock switch to RAISED position

Marker lights to AUTO, Saloon lights on, headlight switch off

Turn off unnecessary cab equipment

Reverser to NEUTRAL

Remove key

Close windows and blinds

Inspect rear of train - red markers, headlights off

Close and check cab doors locked

Proceed to opposite end checking centre cabs, saloon lights, pantos, obvious defects

Check front of train - headboard, marker lights

Reverser to NEUTRAL

Marker lights to WHITE

Remove key

Ensure Emergency brake applied BC pressure at 210kPa

Turn radio up, take key, exit cab
