To provide guidelines for determining when to force entry into a locked vehicle or structure.

To assist a vehicle owner with an OnStar enabled vehicle, instruct him/her to take the following steps:
a. Call OnStar at 1-888-4-ONSTAR (1-888-466-7827). This number can normally be found on a sticker in the bottom corner of the driver’s window.
b. OnStar will request a membership PIN and/or security word. Unless previously changed, the PIN is the last four digits of the home phone number given at the dealership when the vehicle was purchased.
c. OnStar will then send a cellular data call to the vehicle that instructs it to unlock.
