Ground Resonance
Raise collective become airborne
or
Full down collective
ECL’s to stop
Emergency Aircraft Shutdown
ECL’s to stop
Pull Fire Handles
Collective bounce
Reduce or release grip on collective
With an External load - set it on ground or release load
Emergency Descent
Lower collective to autorotate
Engine Fire
Confirm fire, move ECL to stop
confirm, then pull fire handle
Engine Post Shutdown Fire
Move ECL to stop
Combustion Heater Fire
Pull heater fire handle
Dual Engine Failure IGE Hover
Maintain collective then cushion
Dual Engine Failure OGE Hover
Lower collective (maintain 94% Nr or more)
Dual Engine Failure During Takeoff Below 20ft
Maintain collective then cushion landing
Dual Engine Failure During Takeoff Above 20ft
Lower Collective (maintain 94% Nr or more)
Dual Engine Failure in Flight
Lower collective maintain
100-113% Nr (below 2600’ DA) or
106% Nr (above 2600’ DA)
Single Engine Failure IGE Hover
Below 10ft, maintain collective cushion landing
Above 10ft, adjust collective (maintain 95%Nr)
Single Engine Failure OGE Hover
Reduce Collective - maintain Nr 95% or more.
Landing imminent: Flare cushion landing Brakes- as required Engine beeps- minimum
Flight possible:
Maintain Vtoss 35kt
maintain 94% Nr or more
10 degrees right yaw
Single Engine Failure Cat “B” Take Off
Collective- adjust (Nr 95% or more)
Engine beeps- both maximum
Airspeed- maintain or decrease to 65kts
Flight possible
Airspeed- 35kts-65kt
Collective- 95% Nr or more
Yaw- 10 degree right up to 60kts
Single Engine Failure Cat “A” Takeoff before CDP
Collective- minimum 98-100% Nr, cushion landing.
Single Engine Failure Cat “A” Takeoff at or after CDP
Airspeed- Accelerate to 35kts
Maintain if between 35-65kts
Collective- 90% Nr to VTOSS
94% at 35kts or more
Yaw- 10 degrees up to 60kts
Single Engine Failure in Flight
Collective - adjust 94% Nr
97% Nr above 19,000lbs
Engine beeps - both maximum
Emergency Engine Shutdown in Flight
Confirm correct ECL then stop
Engine Control System Failure
High NR - Engine limits exceeded
Increase collective to control Nr
High engine ECL - confirm, then to START
Engine Control System Failure
NR LOW, if NG/NF goes low and remains low after inc. power
Adjust collective (maintain 95% Nr or more)
Engine beeps - rematch engines
Engine Flex Shaft Failure
On the ground
Move both ECL’s to stop
In Flight
High engine ECL - confirm zero NF, then START
Single Engine Cat B Balked Landing
Adjust collective to 94% Nr
Accelerate to 35kts
Maintain 35-65kts
Yaw 10 deg right up to 60kts
Balked Landing at or Before LDP
Adjust collective to 94% Nr
Maintain 35kts
Yaw 10 deg right to 60kts
Imminent Transmission Failure
Reduce collective to minimum power.
Do not autorotate.
