Training (Adv and Dis) (types)

A

Training is the process of providing opportunities for workers to acquire employment related skills and knowledge

Types: On the job, off the job, behavioural, cognitive

Adv: A better skilled and more flexible workforce leds to organizations targets being met

Higher morale as workers progress within an organization

On the job training:
Refers to training carried out whilst at the workplace. Example it can be delivered by supervriors (so they are delivering the training at the workplace).

Off the job training :
Refers to training carried off site

Cogntiive training:
is about training and delvoping mental skills to improve work performance

Behavioral training:
Deals with identifying functional issues that could improve perfromce in th rework place
