The micro environment consists of internal factors of the business environment that are usually controllable by the organisation e.g. Finances and budgets. physical resources, location, employees and target audience

The macro environment consists of external factors that the organisation cannot control. These are grouped together using the acronym PESTLE: Political factors, economic factors, social factors, technological factors, legal factors and environmental factors

What is a hierarchal organisational structure?

A

This is the most traditional type of organisational structure where a person or a couple of people sit at the top and have more ‘middle managers.’ There is a longer chain of command is these types of business which can cause communication problems.

A

These structures focus more on fewer middle management, and more working together with each other. This kind of structure is better for a smaller business and allows departments to communicate with each other more effectively

A

This is the flattest of organisational structures and are best suited to much smaller organisations. Everyone in the business can communicate effectively and there is no clear management, everyone has more responsibility and decisions are made faster.
