- Including bethering and securing.
- Watch Keeping.

Organisation of the crew for watchkeeping when underway and at anchor in clear or reduced visibility, emergency duties and routine maintenance duties, including the use of standing orders, the requirements of crewing and watchkeeping rules, risk assessment, hazard identification and management of fatigue.

- Rostering of crew to manage fatigue.
- Rotation of crew to ensure all tasks are being completed corrected and checked upon handover to the next crew.
- Crew should be fit for duty and should be sufficiently trained and hold the required qualifications for there roll.
- Tasks to be delegated to more crew at times of reduced visibility or high traffic density or rough weather.
- Standing orders to be followed, Crew should have a good understanding for there responsibility’s within there roll

Master’s responsibilities in relation to BRM and watchkeeping
A
- Ensure the bridge team is structured
- Crew to be communicating using closed loop communication and are aware that they should use challenge back if needed
- Crew to be trained, qualified and fit for duty/ well rested and not fatigued
- Have a safe working environment for all crew to be in
- Crew are aware of there muster and every day rolls
- Crew are aware of Masters standing orders and should follow them unless directed otherwise by the Master
