Q

osteoma

A
  • new piece of bone growing on another-skull
  • being tumors
  • homoplastic osteoma(heteroplast osteomagrowe on other TISSUE))
-Uncertain: maybe by embryonic, taumatic or infection
  • see in Gardners syndorme

Q

osteoid osteoma

A
  • benign
    -often in leg, spine(painful scolialis)
  • teenagers or young afults, males
  • produciton of excess bone and secrete paincauseing prostaglandings–>pain at night
  • may spontaboulsy resolve

Q

osteoblastoma

A

-bening, larger than osteoid osteoma
-medulla-VC and spinoys processes, ribs, ilium, long bones, absence of reactive bone formaiton,
-young indiviudals, 10-30y
- centrala rea-nidus: mineralixed, sclerotic or calcified, rim of scleroti cbone at edges
- may spontant regress

Q

Osteosarcoma

A

-primary malignant
-primitive bone forming mesenchyma
-most comon of malignant bone neoplasm-35%
-metapysela region of tubular long bone, 50% aroundknee, hip, shoulder, facial bone

  • solid, hard, irrehular
  • rises periosteum away from the bone and form Codmans triangle, surronding tissue are infiltarted
  • cells are pleopmorphic(anaplastic), some ginat, nr atypical mitoses
  • pathological osteoid matric
    -surgery, amptutation, chemo, radiation

Q

chondroma

A

-bening cartilaginous, encapsulated with lobular growing patern
- vascular axes in tumor
Location
- enchodroma: in bone and expand it, solitary or multiple, metaphysreal location inf short
-periosteal chondorma: on bone surface beneath periosteum

Morpholgy:
1, central necorsis and dystrophic calcification, lobular seperaed bby firbovascular storma
2. affected cells: congdrocytes and cartilagionus cels–>

Q

ewing sarcom

A

-malignant, small, blue, round cell tumor
- pelvis, femur, humerus, ribs
-common genetic locus responsible for ewing saercoma and primitive neuroectodermal tumors
-male teenagers

Q

aneurysmal bone cuts

A

-second-third deaced
-trauma
- lesions of surface of bone and also in metaphysis and epiphysis
- leasions with inetrnal sepate and longitudinal striations
- ABC micrscopically: cystsic spaces with blood, fibrous septa have immature woven bone trabeucula as well as macrophges filled with hemosidern, fibroblast , cappilaries and giant cells
