Measure of hydrogen ion concentration in solution to determine if a solution is acidic or alkaline

A

Due to metabolism producing insane H+ ions, this makes blood acidic and enzymes cant function with those pH conditions

A chem substance that prevents too great of a change in pH by binding with H+ when pH drops and releasing H+ when pH rises
