Explain the different degrees of burns
1st degree: red skin, mild pain
2nd degree: blistering skin, severe pain

Head -9 Chest- 9 Stomach- 9 Arms - 4.5 each Groin - 1 Legs - 9 each
How to treat hyperthermia?
Remove wet clothing, give dry blankets
Assess head to toe, treat for secondary injuries
Treat for shock, keep warm, position for comfort, do not give food or water
How do you treat for heat stress?
Move to cool area
Remove excess clothing
Drench with water
Ensure area has good ventilation

What is the first thing you should do prior to treating any wound?
Ensure scene is safe
How do you treat a sucking chest wound?
Wipe blood away and seal wound with palm of hand
Use plastic over wound and tape all 4 sides (use chest seal if available). Check for exit wound, if an exit wound is found, dress wound and if available use a chest seal
What must you do prior to treating for Electrical shock?
Secure power source
