-Progesterone also plays a role in Inhibiting the Release of Mature Eggs, & Stimulates the Production of a Thick Mucus which prevents Sperm from Reaching any Eggs that are Released.

-There is also the Progesterone-only Pill which has Fewer Side Effects.
