Monotremes
Egg laying mammals, only two modern groups, occur in Australia and New Guinea, EX; platypus
Marsupials
Don’t lay eggs or have placenta, fetus grows outside of body, modern species almost exclusively Australia, EX; kangaroo
Anapsides
No holes behind skull, reptile lineage
Three major ornithischians
Ornithopods (bird-footed dino), Marginocephalians (Fringe-headed dino), Thyreophorans (armored dinosaurs)
Saurischians
Sauropods (long necks), Theropods (velociraptor), Birds
-Feathers are modified scales
