IV. What is “biblical authority” and how do you see that affecting your ministry?

A

a. “Owner’s Manual to Life & Eternity”
b. It is the guide by which we live, are convicted of sin, repent of sin and are saved, and are sanctified/conformed into the image of Christ.
c. 2 Timothy 3:16-17: All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
d. John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
i. If the Word is God, then it is God Himself speaking to us through these pages and has complete authority over our lives and eternity.
ii. This impacts life and ministry, as both should be solely focused on spreading the Gospel to the lost world.
