Adverse Drug Reactions
A
- mild drowsiness, sedation
- lightheadedness, dizziness, ataxia
-visual disturbances - anger, restlessness
- nausea, constipation, diarrhea
- leathery, apathy, fatigue
- dry mouth

Symptoms of Withdraw
A
- typically happens when stopped abruptly or taken for >3 months
- increased anxiety, hr, bp, and temp
-decreased memory
-agitation
-seizures
-insomnia
-vomiting
-muscle aches

Nursing considerations
A
- not meant for long term therapy
- must be tapered and never stop abruptly

-pregnant, laboring, and lactating
