Typer av design

A

Conceptual design - considering what information content and functions are needed for the system or service to achieve its purpose (“the overall purpose”)

Physical design - how things are going to work and with detailing the look and feel of the product or service

Operational design - specifying how everything works and how content is structured and stored

Representational design - fixing on colours, shapes, sizes and information layout

Interaction design - the allocation of functions to human agency or to technology and with the structuring and sequencing of the interactions

Scenarios are useful in understanding, envisioning, evaluation, and both conceptual and physical design: the four key stages of UX design
Each conceptual scenario may generate many concrete scenarios
The more specific the scenario is about some aspects, the more concrete it is

Vad är bra usabillity?

A

It will be efficient in that people will be able to do things using an appropriate
amount of effort.

It will be effective in that it contains the appropriate functions and information content, organized in an appropriate manner.

It will be easy to learn how to do things and remember how to do them after a while.

It will be safe to operate in the variety of contexts in which it will be used.

It will have high utility in that it does the things that people want to get done.

Acceptability

A

Acceptability is about fitting technologies and services into people’s lives. For example: biografer som ska vara tysta

Politiskt - är designen politiskt acceptabel? (t.ex. human rights, samlar in data)
Convenience - designs som är awkward eller tvingar människor att göra saker är oacceptabla
Cultural and social habits
Usefulness - program måste vara tillräckligt användbara och lättanvändliga för att göra det värt att använda dem (kanske är lättare att göra något på papper t.ex.)
Economic - måste vara värt pengarna
