What is molluscum contagiosum?
Benign tumour caused by molluscum contagiosum virus (can be sexually transmitted)

Fleshy, firm, umbilicated, pearlescent nodules
Children
Treatment of molluscum contagiosum
Self-limiting but may take months/years to disappear
Local application of liquid nitrogen can be offered
What is seborrhoeic keratosis?
Benign proliferations of epidermal keratinocytes
Presentation of seborrhoeic keratosis
Stuck-on appearance
Greasy hyperkeratotic surface
Treatment of seborrhoeic keratosis
Liquid nitrogen
What are warts/verrucas?
Benign tumour caused by HPV virus infecting keratinocytes
HPV types causing warts/verrucas
HPV types 1-4
What are actinic lentiginies?
Age or liver spots
Related to UV exposure
What are freckles (Ephilides)?
Patchy increase in melanin pigmentation
Occurs after UV exposure
