What is the US Constitution?
The US Constitution is the document that provides the framework for the United States government. It consists of three main parts: The Preamble, The seven articles, and the 27 amendments.
What is the Preamble?
The Preamble is the name of the introduction of the US Constitution.
What is sovereignty?
Sovereignty is the absolute power of a government in its own territory.
What is popular sovereignty?
Popular Sovereignty is the belief that the power of the government rests on the will of the people.
What is the quote “We the People”?
The quote “We the People” is the three words that start the Preamble in the US Constitution.
What is Federalism
Federalism is the system of government with power divided between the central government and regional government.
What is “The Great Compromise”?
“The Great Compromise” is the constitutional convention in 1787, with a deal that used parts of the “Virginia” plan and the “New Jersey” plan to create a Congress with two houses.
What was the “Three-fifths Compromise”?
The “Three-fifths Compromise” was an agreement reached between Northern and Southern states during the Constitution.
What was the Electoral College?
The Electoral College was the gathering of leaders from each state following the Presidential election and the group who cast their ballot for their party in the election.
