Behaviourism: KT Flashcards
1
Q
Behaviourist Approach
A
A way of explaining behaviour in terms of what is observable (and in terms of learning)
2
Q
Classical conditioning
A
Learning by association
Occurs when two stimuli are repeatedly paired together - UCS + neutral stimulus. Neutral stimulus eventually produces same response as UCS
3
Q
Operant conditioning
A
A form of learning om which behaviour is shaped and maintained by consequence.
Consequences = + or - or punishment
4
Q
Reinforcement
A
A consequence of behaviour that increases the likelihood of that behaviour being repeated
