Q

What happens when you take barbituates at a low dose, middle dose, and then high dose??

A

At a low dose barbituates are sedative like, create euphoria, and loss of inhibition. At MEDIUM DOSES: barbituate can cause pleasureable intoxication, decreased activity and drowsiness. At HIGH Doses: severe intoxication, intense emotions, and sleep (CV, RESP depression, non-reactive pupils and hypothermia).
