evaluate
+ sample size 96, can be generalised
- ethnocentric, stanford uni nursery, doesnt represent those from other countries
+ semi darkened room is a good control as it gives little distraction, focus on what is being shown, no EVs
+ shows TV influences childrens behaviour, watershed has been put in place to limit what children are exposed to, parents given advice to limit what children watch
+ cat spoke in high pitched voice, increase internal validity as voice is target to engage the children to watch whole thing
- cat is called herman which decreases internal validity as there is confusion in gender
