watched a 10 minute film version of the male/female models becoming aggressive towards the bobo doll

watched a cartoon version of a female model dressed as a cat become aggressive towards the bobo doll
second phase
following exposure, children were individually placed in a room with an experimenter whether they were exposed to a mildly frustrating situation to elicits aggression
results
- children imitated the aggression they saw
- boys exhibited more overall aggression than girls
- boys exposed to a male model shows significantly more aggression than those exposed to a female model
- quant data: mean aggression for males with female role model and real life aggression = 76.8. same but with male model = 131.8
conclusion
this study concluded that children are more likely to imitate a same-sex model, that children can learn from watching a model in a film and that they can learn by imitation
