this mural was installed as part of the promotional campaign for the 2014 commonwealth games, it is part of a series depicting multiple sports. the other murals (also by guido) were installed adjactent to partick train station and represent hocky, netball and rugby.

completed by photorealist street artist guido van helten. van helten was raised in brisbane and was a graffiti artist in his youth. he moved to lismore, new south wales to study visual arts at southern cross university, majoring in printmaking.

Keiran is a scottish badminton player, he lives in glasgow and represented us at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 commonwealth games. unfortunately keiran was eleminated at the quarter finals of the 2014 and 2018 commonwealth games. we still love him!
