“Undulant fever”, anorexia, arthralgia, chronic.
Systemic: GI, resp, bones

reticuloendothelial spread – liver and spleen

BM culture

Tx: Combination therapy : Doxy and rifampin

chronic: Phase I and II ab. I»II

Cat scratch disease - immunoCOMPETENT
- Children
- Chronic regional lymphadenopathy (sentinal node)
may see prolonged fever w/ no source

Bacillary angiomatosis - ImmunoCOMPROMISED

IgG titer

self-limited. Use Azithro if Tx needed

Avoid surgical drainage!

rapid dev of cellulitis after bites (w/in 24 hrs)
osteomyelitis also possible

Tx: PCN w/ beta- lactamase (Amoxicillin-clauvulanic)
