- Ocean, energy from the sun causes it to evaporate
- This is condensed into a cloud and then released as precipitation ( fresh water)
- Transpiration then occurs and water is released back as water vapor
- Some water from rain forms rivers or streams but eventually drains back into the ocean

Plants— plants take up water in their roots, passes up through the xylem and relaxed by the stomata as water vapor
