Second trophic level
What is a food chain?
A continuous spell of animals eating eachother
How is energy lost at each trophic level?
Movement, heat and respiration
Why are pyramids of number and pyramids of biomass special bar charts?
Because they show how energy flows through a food web
Why are pyramids of biomass better at representing the flow of energy?
Because they take into account the mass of the organisms
What does ‘biomass’ mean?
Total mass of organisms without including water
