1st rib- teres major
3 parts in relation to pec minor
Brachial artery
after teres major becomes brachial
medial/anterior brachium and cubital fossa
Subclavian Artery
- vertebral
- thyrocervical trunk
- internal thoracic
- costocervical trunk
Thyrocervical trunk
- suprascapular- top of scap over superior transverse scapular ligament
- transverse cervical- superfical and dorsal scapular
Axillary Artery- first part
lateral border of 1st rib to medial border of pec minor
- superior thoracic artery- supplies 1st 2 ICS, pec major, SC joint, superior Serr. Ant.
Axillary Artery- 2nd part
on subscapularis muscle, surrounded by 3 cords of brachial plexus
two branches- thoracoacromial trunk, lateral thoracic
Thoracoacromial trunk
Acromial- acromion, pec major deltoid
Clavicular- SC Jt., thoracic wall
pectoral- major and minor
deltoid-pec major and deltoid
Lateral Thoracic Artery
supplies SA, breast tissue and Pec major
Axillary- Third part
lateral border of pec minor- inferior margin of teres major
3 branches- subscapular, anterior circumflex humeral, posterior circumflex humeral
Subscapular
largest branch
circumflex scapular- Teres major, SSc
Thoracodorsal- lats
