AW139 PTS - Hydraulics Flashcards
Describe the hydraulic system
PUMP1 & ELEC - FCM 1 - Flight controls (1) & Emergency L/G extension
PUMP2 & PUMP 4 - FCM2 - Flight controls (2) & Normal L/G extension
3000psi
How do we preform the hydraulic pre-flight?
The electrical pump - followed by a full-and-free check
What systems are powered by hydraulic pressure?
- Flight Controls
2. Landing Gear
How many pumps does the hydraulic system have?
3 mechanical (1,2 & 4) 1 electrical (3)
What is the normal hydraulic system pressure?
3000psi
What regulates the hydraulic pressure?
The pump,
which is variable speed, constant pressure.
How many reservoirs does the hydraulic system have?
2
in PCMs
What is the computer logic during a hydraulic leak in BOTH systems?
xxxxx |No1 | No2
50% |Nothing | UTIL SOV2
28% |Nothing | T/R SOV + UTIL OPEN
22% |UTIL SOV1 | UTIL SOV2 + UTIL SOV
Does the hydraulic system have a filter?
Yes
a pressure and return filter
What kind of indication do we have with a servo jam?
SERVO 1 or SERVO 2 CAS
cant identify the specific one
Why do we have a hydraulic SOV in the cockpit?
In case of 1(2) HYD OIL TEMP and 2(1) SERVO
To isolate the system if its overheating
When is the hydraulic SOV inhibited and what kind of warning is associated with this procedure?
When Hyd oil pressure light active on the other side
So that your don’t de-pressurise both sides (which results in much disappointment)
Can you mix the hydraulic fluids if more than once type permitted IAW the RFM?
NO
